Art - Art Studio
This fun-filled evening program aspires to assist and encourage a child's natural creativity. We hope to set an exhilarating stage for endless opportunities for a child's imagination. This exciting program focuses on finding the unique artist that is in each of us. Traditional lessons balanced with creative exploration. Every session has something new and fun for everyone!
General Information
- Instructor: Sibyl Weidner
- The participants are ages 8 thru 17 for each class. Daily class instruction and projects will be geared for the two separate age groups ages 8-12 and ages 13 -17.
- Click below on the days/dates to see the when the class takes place. Only the dates class is in session are listed.
- Your online confirmation receipt will list the start and end dates of the class not the days off in between, if any.
- Early Registration Savings – ERS Northampton Residents registering at least one week prior will pay the Early Registration Savings Fee (ERS). Mail in registrations must be postmarked at least one week prior to the start of the class in order to receive this savings.

Art - Art Studio
This class invites those bursting with creativity energy into an environment of self expression. Do you have the desire to create but no space at home? Looking for a place for your artistic output? Individual attention tailored to multi skill levels; constructive, open ended classes. You will receive instruction in: composition, light/shade, texture and perspective through both traditional and creative drawing studies. Excellent for those seeking to learn and to develop drawing skills, techniques and personal styles. Painting basics: Color study , “building” of composition, creating depth, what is an under painting, assigning light/shade. Classical and experimental approaches encouraged.
NOTE: Affordable, basic materials list will be distributed at first class.
Please bring to class: sketch paper, pencils, kneaded eraser and if possible, portable easel.
