Skating

The ”Learn to Skate” Program is designed to teach the basic skating skills of skating the correct way, while providing a fun, family oriented atmosphere. Our goal is for skaters to achieve aproficient level of skating either for hockey, figure or recreational skating.

All ice skating and hockey programs are offered in cooperation with and held at the Rink at Warwick (formerly Warwick Ice Arena) located at 1621 Mearns Road, Warwick, PA.

General Information

Tots are ages 3-5 years, over 5 is considered a beginner and adults are 16 and older.
All tots and beginners under 16 years of age must wear a bike helmet or hockey helmet.
Parent pass can be purchased at rink only.
Dress in layers and bring gloves and a hat.
Skate rental is included in lesson fee.
30 minutes of instruction, 30 minutes of practice
Classes may be cancelled if there is low participation.
Children must participate independent of parent. If a parent wishes to go on the ice during Learn to Skate practice time, a Parent Pass is required (Cost $45 - skates included) and can be purchased at The Rink at Warwick only
Family Discounts: DO NOT apply to programs conducted at the Warwick Ice Arena.

Your online confirmation receipt will list the start and end dates of the class not the days off in between, if any.

Learn to Play Hockey Free

The Rink at Warwick (Formerly Warwick Ice Arena) in its continued effort to bring ice hockey to the community is offering a developmental program.
NO HOCKEY EXPERIENCE required, boys and girls are taught how to play.
The programs are designed not to conflict with other sports.
Register now, space is limited!
Required Equipment: Ice hockey helmet with facemask, hockey gloves, skates (rental provided if needed), hockey shin pads, elbow pads, hockey stick, and mouth guard.
